Last night, the 98th Annual Oscar Academy Awards was the place to be for Hollywood’s most glamorous movie stars. All night long, we saw well-earned wins from Michael B. Jordan winning Best Actor for his first-ever Oscar to Ryan Coogler’s Sinners as the Best Original Screenplay. But, each year, after the show ends, the Vanity Fair After-Party is always where the real celebrations begins.
There, the red carpet proved Zendaya isn’t the only celebrity who’s taken a liking to bridal white. Love Island’s Olandria channeled her inner Old Hollywood romantic in a fluid gown and updo (smoothed with SheaMoisture’s “silk press in a bottle” cream). Teyana Taylor arrived in a backless gown which matched her pearl nails, and, the skirt of Tracee Elliss Ross’ dress ballooned against her skin-tight bodice and slicked-back bun.
The red carpet also taught a lesson in how to dress as a couple. Wunmi Mosaku and Tash Moseley coordinated in lavender, a color Mosaku used to accent her eye makeup. Queen Latifah wore red while her wife, Eboni Nichols, opted for black. Yet, their dangling earrings, manicures, and updos were a match. In a sheer gown and lived-in braids, actress Myha’la Herrold posed with her husband, Armando Rivera, who wore a grey tweed suit.
But, the night’s romantic air didn’t end there. Lizzo in smoky, romantic makeup and Mary J. Blige in a matte red lip, both landed on blonde bobs. Meanwhile, Keke Palmer’s moussed pixie cut and red nails were the perfect pair. To close the night, PinkPantheress was flocked in feathers which sprouted from her black gown, while her hair was slicked behind her mysteriously romantic saucer hat.
